Detroit's Obie Trice left Shady Records after eight years and two albums. He is currently working on his third album, a new situation for his own imprint. “Obie and Shady were moving in different directions,” the 30-year-old rapper’s manager Terry Wilson tells AllHipHop. “But he still has a great relationship with Shady Records. He has some big plans for his World Wide Hustle label.” Obie is currently recording his third album and has released a track explaining his decision to leave the label where he gained his respect and success. The new song, “The Giant,” shows that Obie’s complaints may have been with Interscope Records. “I murdered e’ything when I wore the Shady logo,” he spits after announcing there’s no more Shady. “O is a mogul/Low on the totem pole ‘cause Interscope’s loco/Now I’m gettin’ mo’ dough.” Following a personal introduction to Eminem via D12’s Bizarre, Obie Trice joined Shady Records in 2000 and was introduced to listeners outside of Detroit on the group's 2001 debut Devil’s Night. His own RIAA-certified gold debut Cheers came two years later, with a follow up, Second Round’ s On Me released in 2006. Continuing with the theme of his two previous releases, Trice’s third album is currently titled Bottoms Up. More on this when available..

There are multiple ambulances responding to the scene of a pedestrian struck by a car in the Irving Park neighborhood near the intersection of Irving Park and California.

Police and ambulances are on the way to the scene now. I will updated any new information when its avaialble.

It' s that time of the year again. The Finals just ended, and now it's time for the Chicago Bulls to make their #1 Draft pick this year in the NBA Draft.

I dont think anyone expects any surprises tonight. Derrick Rose has been the popular choice for many weeks, and his selection has seemed to be a foregone conclusion for the past two weeks. Chicago needs this to turn around the franchise and become a playoff competitor once again!

Well, Earlier this month, Mr. West had a performance at the Bonnaroo Musical Festival two hours later than his scheduled start time, which encouraged the crowd to chant "Kanye sucks" and throw glow sticks on stage during the delay. Shortly afterward, they wrote "FU*K KANYE" all over the port-a-johns. It has been widely reported that the delay was due to the setup of Kanye'stage set (a spaceship and an some landscape) but not to mention the fact that Pearl Jam played a three-hour set. In Henderson, Ky. - An employee shot five people dead at a plastics plant then killed himself early Wednesday morning, police said.

The rampage happened after a worker at Atlantis Plastics got into an arguement with a supervisor according to Police. The employee had returned home to get his handgun during a break. The gunman then came inside the building and began shooting at random.

Ramirez hit his fourth homer in the last three games and drove in two runs, and rookie Eric Patterson belted a two-run blast to power the Cubs to a 7-1 Interleague victory Sunday night over the White Sox and help Ryan Dempster stay unbeaten at home.

Ramirez hit a solo homer in the fifth and an RBI double in the seventh, as the Cubs posted the third sweep at Wrigley Field of their intracity rivals since Interleague play began in 1997. The White Sox will get a chance to play by American League rules next weekend at U.S. Cellular Field. Cubs fans who had their brooms confiscated by ushers might want to hang onto them.

Dempster (9-2) improved to 9-0 at home, giving up 10 hits and striking out four over eight-plus innings. His streak is the longest by a Cubs pitcher since Jon Lieber won 11 in a row in 2001.

"Next time we go on the road, we'll leave him here and he can start the first game of the next homestand," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said.

He's kidding. Dempster's next scheduled start actually will be on the road in his hometown when the intracity series resumes on the White Sox home turf.

"It's Chicago -- South Side, North Side, what's the difference?" Piniella said. "That's why we're pitching him twice [in the series] -- Sunday and Friday."

So is the Cubs'. They've won 14 straight at home for the first time since June 4-July 10, 1936, and boast a franchise-best start of 32-8 at Wrigley Field.
