Bulls Fans Will Miss Two Great Legends
Chicago sports fans were saddened following the deaths of 2 Bulls legends this Thursday.
Norm Van Lier, 61, was found unresponsive in his home Thursday afternoon and pronounced dead.
"Stormin' Norman" appeared in three All-Star games during his career with the Bulls in the 1970s. He stayed close to the team after his retirement, and was a popular sports broadcaster as well.
"Norm Van Lier was one of the all-time greats ever to put on a Chicago Bulls uniform," Bulls Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf in a statement. "Along with Jerry Sloan, he set a standard for Bulls defense and toughness which we will never forget and which we will always strive to replicate."
Johnny "Red" Kerr also died Thursday, after his battle with prostate cancer.
Kerr, the Chicago Bulls first head coach and died yesterday at age 76.

Would You Rather Fly Out Of O'Hare or O'Bama?
There is a rumor that Chicago's Midway Airport is going to be renamed Obama International. The Daily Southtown reported Monday that the bloggers seem to have the inside track on the deal. The paper says that when you type www.barackobamaairport.com into your Web browser, you'll see that the address has already been claimed, which is "the equivalent of a colonial flag thrust into the virgin soil of some new land." Hilbuzz, a political blog that appears to have some sort of fascination with Hilary Clinton, seems to have got things rolling Dec. 30. "Behind the scenes work is already under way to rename Chicago's Midway Airport after Obama -- becoming Barack H. Obama International Airport," the post states. And that's not the only source reporting the name change. According to the Southtown, several blogs are saying that the plan is already in the works and that it's just a matter of time.

Chicago Officer Brutality - CTA Bus
A video showing a Chicago police officer attempting to escort a man off a Chicago Transit Authority bus is the focus of a police department internal affairs review.
The video, purportedly shot last Thursday, was posted to YouTube.com and picked up by the blog ChicagoCopWatch.org.
Another passenger captured the incident, which appears to show a uniformed officer struggling verbally and physically with a man who didn't follow the officer's order to get off the route 70 bus in the 800 block of West Division Street.
The passenger was accused of not paying his fare.
